Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Driver to operate commercial vehicles across long distances in a team driving environment. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and the ability to perform basic automotive repairs when necessary. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to our logistics team while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate long-haul trucks and freight vehicles over extended routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, unload, and secure freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and minor automotive repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Assist with warehouse operations, including forklift operation for loading and unloading cargo
- Follow company policies for safety, security, and environmental standards during all transportation activities
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially long-distance routes
- Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, and perform basic automotive repairs
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent navigation skills with a focus on route planning and time management
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
- Valid commercial driver’s license (AZ) with a clean driving record
- Mechanical aptitude for performing minor automotive repairs when needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
