Care Assistant – Join Our Team
We are looking for caring and committed Care Assistants to deliver essential support to individuals who require assistance. In this role, you will play a meaningful part in enhancing the quality of life, dignity, and comfort of seniors and other clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personal care and support in home care, nursing home, assisted living, or hospice environments
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary requirements
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication routines
- Observe and report any changes in a client’s health or behaviour
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
- Support light housekeeping, including maintaining clean and organized living spaces
- Follow established care plans and professional guidance
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Previous caregiving or home care experience is an asset
- Understanding of meal preparation and dietary considerations
- Familiarity with dementia care and memory support
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to client privacy and confidentiality
- Adaptability to evolving client needs
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and valid Class 4 license
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- CPR / SFA Level C
- Food Handler Certification
- Medication Training
