Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Hairdressing Assistant to join our vibrant salon team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry, develop essential customer service skills, and learn the art of hair styling. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping clients look and feel their best while supporting our stylists in delivering exceptional service. Previous experience is not required, but a passion for beauty and a positive attitude are essential.
Duties
- Greet clients warmly and assist at the front desk with check-in and appointment scheduling
- Support hairstylists during haircuts, color treatments, and styling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, workstations, and salon areas in compliance with health standards
- Assist with retail sales by recommending hair care products to clients
- Upsell salon services and retail items to enhance client experience and satisfaction
- Prepare workstations for stylists, including washing stations and supply organization
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and ensuring a welcoming environment
- Manage appointment flow efficiently to minimize wait times and optimize salon operations
Experience
- Prior experience in customer service or retail sales is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures related to beauty services is advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for learning about hair styling techniques and salon operations

Pay: $17.60-$21.00 per hour
