The Opportunity
6 Month Contract
We are looking for a dynamic Logistics Coordinator to support our Mill Warehouses. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, energetic, and thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and preferably experience in the transportation industry. This position is designed to provide support and backup to the Logistics Coordinator / 3PL and Supervisors.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor Mill Floor stock and dispatch required fleet equipment and drivers to each location
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers efficiently through Descartes to ensure timely deliveries and optimal equipment usage
- Communicate with the Dispatch team members to ensure streamlined processes, optimal performance, and seamless execution
- Data Entry of shipment logs- coordinate Driver workflow as per Shift/Dispatch Supervisor instructions
- Notify Dispatch Supervisor and/or affected customers of any delays with scheduled deliveries
- Inform Dispatch Supervisor regarding issues with Fleet equipment, local drivers, wait time, backlog, etc. that require escalation
- Filing PODs- notify Dispatch Supervisor of any issues with these
- Provide after-hour support for 3PL team
- Verify time sheets of drivers- Notify Dispatch Supervisor of any issues
- Liaise with 3PL team when demand exceeds local fleet capacity
- Liaise with 3PL team if any issues with 3PL equipment or drivers
- Coordinate with different departments and make suggestions for productivity improvements
- Preparing documents of transport logistics for the most important KPIs.
- Maintaining supplies of equipment needed for smooth operations.
- Communicate and collaborate with other team members across departments
- Be compliant with CTPAT regulations and ensure the facility and team are also compliant
- Additional duties as required by business growth and change
- Confidentiality with all financials, staff (disciplinary and personal info) as well as company info not open to the public or pending release to other staff/divisions within Atlantic
What You Bring
- 3-5 years progressive experience in a multi-modal transportation environment
- Post secondary education or professional association training in the transportation or logistic fields.
- Must have an excellent telephone etiquette
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Strong/effective communication skills
- Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
- Ability to work autonomously and with little direction
- Must be a team player committed to maintaining desired service levels
- Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able to demonstrate the ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to present themselves in a professional manner

Hiring Range : $48,632 - $60,790 per year. A candidate’s experience and knowledge may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
