Cloverdale Paint is seeking an ambitious individual for a full-time position with open availability at our manufacturing facility in London, ON.
We are looking for someone to work full-time hours weekly.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful candidate will be working in a busy department where they will be required to display attention to detail and the ability to match and tint batches to standard colours.
Previous experience with paints/coatings manufacturing is a strong asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tint and adjust paint batches to meet customer colour standards and required product specifications.
- Add tint pastes and bases to batches to complete colour corrections.
- Prepare and retain colour panels for standards, testing and quality-control purposes.
- Maintain accurate formula, testing and production records, including achievement charts and computer colour numbers.
- Perform gloss, dry-film thickness and other required physical tests using standard testing methods.
- Troubleshoot product performance and make appropriate adjustments to ensure products meet or exceed company standards.
- Follow ISO 9001:2015 quality processes and procedures.
- Support on-time completion and delivery of products.
- Respond to customer inquiries in person and by telephone.
- Determine customer needs and recommend appropriate products and related items required for their projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and support continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with team members and assist others as required.
- Develop job-related knowledge, skills and competencies through ongoing learning.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Chemical technology and/or paint tinting experience is a strong asset.
- Strong verbal communication, reading comprehension and numerical skills.
- Ability to read and understand batch documents, formulas and computer-generated colour information.
- Strong colour perception and the ability to accurately distinguish colour variations.
- Ability to accurately weigh and measure materials.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to learn and operate colour-matching computer systems.
- Availability to work shifts and overtime as required.
- Dependable and responsible, with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands of Position
The essential function of this position involves physical duties, including standing for lengthy periods of time, carrying small quantities of tint pastes, and moving of paint containers and related products weighing up to 40 pounds individually or with appropriate lifting equipment when required.
The successful candidate must be able to safely perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, in accordance with applicable human rights legislation.
