This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to build high-performing teams, develop future leaders and drive operational excellence. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain and HR, you'll create an environment where safety comes first, people are empowered to succeed and continuous improvement is part of everyday operations.
If you're a collaborative leader who enjoys developing people as much as improving processes, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and productivity goals are achieved.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement across all departments.
- Coach, mentor and develop supervisors and emerging leaders, helping them build confidence, capability and leadership skills.
- Drive employee engagement by creating a positive, respectful and high-performing workplace.
- Monitor operational KPIs and use data to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity and cost performance.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Partner cross-functionally to support production, resolve challenges and deliver business results.
- Oversee workforce planning, performance management, talent development and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Support capital projects, process improvements and strategic initiatives that contribute to the continued growth of the business.
You'll Thrive in This Role If You...
- Lead by example and enjoy being present on the production floor.
- Believe developing people is just as important as delivering results.
- Naturally coach and support supervisors while helping emerging leaders grow into larger responsibilities.
- Build trust through open communication, collaboration and accountability.
- Stay calm under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve people, processes, and performance.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated success leading production, operations or plant teams.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Experience managing production performance, quality, inventory, scheduling and cost control.
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing supervisors and building high-performing teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or a related discipline is preferred.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you'll know you're making an impact when you:
- Build a culture where safety is the foundation of every decision.
- Consistently achieve operational goals while improving quality, productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Develop confident, capable supervisors and emerging leaders who are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
- Foster a highly engaged team that takes ownership of results and continuous improvement.
- Deliver sustainable operational improvements that support Spectra's continued growth.
Why Join Spectra?
At Spectra, you'll have the opportunity to lead a growing operation while helping shape the future of our business. We believe our leaders should have the autonomy to make decisions, develop their teams and continuously improve how we operate.
