Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technicians to support commissioning activities on a large-scale construction project. The successful candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the testing, verification, and commissioning of instrumentation systems on major industrial or infrastructure projects.
Experience with Emerson Delta V Distributed Control System (DCS) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing, calibration, verification, and commissioning of field instrumentation.
- Conduct loop checks, functional testing, and instrument validation.
- Verify installation and operation of transmitters, switches, control valves, analyzers, and other field devices.
- Assist with startup, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
- Support DCS integration, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Prepare commissioning documentation, test records, and punch lists.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to achieve project milestones.
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Trade Certification in Instrumentation, Electrical, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in instrumentation testing, verification, and commissioning on large industrial construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience with field instrumentation, loop checking, and commissioning activities.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Commitment to safe work practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Emerson Delta V DCS.
- Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, mining, LNG, or other large industrial facilities.
- Previous commissioning and startup experience.
- Familiarity with commissioning management systems and turnover documentation.
