Overview
We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Cafe All-Rounder to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in various aspects of cafe operations, including customer service, food and beverage preparation, and cash handling. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent time management skills, and a friendly attitude to ensure a positive experience for our customers. Prior barista experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee and tea, maintaining high quality standards.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Operate POS systems (e.g., Micros POS) for order processing, cash handling, and transactions.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or other light meals as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in food handling areas according to food safety regulations.
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons.
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with serving or other duties as needed.
- Follow food safety protocols and ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
- Previous barista experience is advantageous, along with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
