The Role
As Senior Project Manager / Project Division Lead, you'll be a key leader within the company, responsible for the day-to-day performance of our projects while helping develop the people, processes, and systems behind them.
You'll work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and take an active role in:
- Overseeing project delivery from start to finish.
- Mentoring and developing Junior Project Managers.
- Supporting estimating, bidding, and procurement.
- Improving project management systems and processes.
- Managing project schedules, budgets, scope, and profitability.
- Supporting field teams and resolving day-to-day challenges.
- Building accountability and operational excellence across the Projects Division.
- Helping develop our commercial project pipeline.
- Identifying opportunities for business and department growth.
- Building relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and Indigenous communities.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Project Leadership
- Oversee multiple projects and ensure they are delivered safely, professionally, on schedule, and within budget.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, scope, change orders, procurement, and profitability.
- Coordinate customers, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and field teams.
- Identify and resolve project risks and issues proactively.
- Maintain strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead, coach, and mentor Junior Project Managers.
- Provide guidance on project planning, customer management, scheduling, documentation, and financial performance.
- Help establish training and development programs for project staff.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Estimating & Procurement
- Support estimating with project reviews, scope development, pricing, and bid strategy.
- Help develop a professional estimating department with effective systems and workflows.
- Assist with procurement, supplier relationships, subcontractor coordination, and material planning.
- Improve consistency and quality throughout the estimating and procurement process.
Financial & Operational Management
- Work with leadership and finance to improve job costing and project profitability.
- Monitor project performance and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Develop scalable project management systems, processes, and standards.
- Strengthen communication between estimating, project management, field operations, and finance.
Business & Indigenous Community Growth
- Help develop and maintain a strong commercial project pipeline.
- Support leadership in evaluating new project opportunities and markets.
- Help expand our Indigenous Community Retrofit Program.
- Develop and strengthen relationships within Indigenous communities across BC and Western Canada.
- Contribute to the long-term growth and strategic direction of the company.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who brings experience, leadership, accountability, and initiative.
You should have:
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC/mechanical contracting.
- Proven project management experience.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems and construction processes.
- Experience managing schedules, budgets, customers, stakeholders, and project risk.
- Experience with field technician dispatching or scheduling is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of project profitability and commercial decision-making.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Confidence handling negotiations, conflict, and difficult conversations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, accountable approach with the ability to work independently.
- Leadership and mentoring skills.
- A reliable vehicle and the ability to travel to project sites when required.

- Travel: Project-site visits as required

- Compensation: DOE (Depending on Experience)
