Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Technician to join our team. This role involves implementing pest control strategies, inspecting affected areas, and ensuring the safety and effectiveness of pest management solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pest control methods, experience with hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and sales techniques. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on sustainable pest management practices.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential, commercial, or agricultural sites to identify pest issues.
- Develop and implement integrated pest management plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery to apply treatments safely and effectively.
- Operate and maintain various pest control equipment and machinery.
- Communicate with clients regarding treatment procedures, safety precautions, and follow-up care.
- Assist in sales efforts by explaining services and solutions to potential clients.
- Keep detailed records of inspections, treatments, and client interactions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards during operations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of pest control methods and IPM strategies.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate various types of equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and sales support.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse environments.
- Attention to detail in inspections, recordkeeping, and application procedures.
- Basic understanding of sales techniques related to pest management services is a plus.
