Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service, ensuring that freight is delivered on time and in excellent condition.
Duties
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Speak and write in English
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, utilizing power equipment when necessary and offloading manually.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries using E-Logs.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all HTA and MTO regulations regarding transportation.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Must be able to operate 5ton straight truck with 10-speed manual transmission
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with clean abstract
- Previous experience in freight transportation or logistics is advantageous.
