Job Overview
Gorilla Property Services is looking for a dependable and experienced Field Supervisor – Property Maintenance and Sales to lead crews, support employees and help grow our residential and commercial property maintenance business.
This is a hands-on leadership position. You will work alongside the crew while organizing daily jobs, training employees, maintaining quality standards and providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate is a confident leader who enjoys teaching others, solving problems, identifying sales opportunities and helping a team succeed.
Responsibilities
· Lead and supervise crews at residential and commercial job sites.
· Review daily schedules, job requirements and customer expectations.
· Assign tasks based on each employee’s experience and skill level.
· Work alongside employees while providing direction and support.
· Train new and existing employees on equipment, procedures, safety and customer service.
· Demonstrate the correct way to perform services and use company equipment.
· Help employees improve their skills, efficiency, confidence and work quality.
· Inspect completed work and ensure company standards are met.
· Communicate professionally with customers and address basic questions or concerns.
· Identify additional services that may benefit customers.
· Explain service options without using high-pressure sales tactics.
· Gather photographs, measurements and information for additional quotes.
· Report sales leads and follow-up opportunities to the office.
· Monitor job timing, productivity and labour hours.
· Report staffing concerns, equipment issues and customer feedback to management.
· Ensure vehicles, tools and equipment are clean, organized and properly maintained.
· Promote and enforce safe work practices.
· Complete job notes, checklists and before-and-after photographs.
Services May Include
· Gutter cleaning
· Residential and commercial window cleaning
· Dryer vent cleaning
· Pressure and power washing
· Lawn and garden maintenance
· Property cleanups
· Commercial litter removal
· Snow and ice management
· Holiday and permanent lighting installations
· Other exterior property maintenance services
Training may be provided for specific services and equipment.
Qualifications
· Previous experience in property maintenance, landscaping, exterior cleaning, construction, snow removal or a related field.
· Supervisory, crew-lead or employee-training experience is preferred.
· Strong leadership, organization and communication skills.
· Ability to teach, coach and motivate team members.
· Comfortable communicating with customers and recommending appropriate services.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Dependable, punctual and able to work with limited supervision.
· Able to remain calm and make good decisions when problems arise.
· Physically capable of performing outdoor work and lifting equipment and materials.
· Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions.
· Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
· Comfortable safely driving company vehicles and trailers when required.
· Working at Heights certification is an asset.
· First Aid and CPR certification are assets.
