Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Labourer for our Precast Concrete manufacturing facility. This role involves supporting various stages of precast concrete production, including assembly, handling, and operation of heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience in construction or manufacturing environments. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in heavy equipment operation and concrete fabrication within a dynamic team setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly and handling of precast concrete components using hand tools and power tools
- Support the movement of materials and finished products throughout the warehouse or production area
- Perform basic machining
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety standards are met
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support team members in various tasks related to manufacturing, construction, and warehouse operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environments is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, machining, and assembly processes are advantageous
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is highly desirable
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
- Basic understanding of construction or precast concrete processes is a plus
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Candidates must be able to work a range of shifts and have their own dependable transportation.
