Job Summary
- Assemble boiler parts such as gas trains, water pipes, economizer piping, oil piping and wind boxes (average weight handled varies from 5-20 lbs) using hand tools, air tools, and overhead crane
- Assemble boiler parts onto boilers based on drawings and work orders. Uses hand tools, air ratchets, ladders (8' - 10' ladders), overhead cranes and jib cranes. Electrical wiring on circuit boards
- Performs other duties as required such as electrical shop test on boilers by using shop test procedure and various testing equipment
- Demonstrated shop test or electrical skills are eligible for a higher pay rate
Responsibilities and Duties
- Must be able to work from Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- 1-2 years' experience with manufacturing, heavy equipment facility
- Completion of high school. Industrial trade school or HVAC education will be considered a strong asset
- Experience with reading drawings or blueprints is an asset
- Experience with piping
- Analytical, problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift and use hand tools
- Knowledge and ability to follow health and safety procedures and rules
