KEY Education is seeking a highly experienced, passionate, and forward-thinking educator to join our Little Scholars team as a part-time contractor. The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have extensive experience working with children between the ages of 3 to 7 years old
- Demonstrate professionalism, warmth, and strong leadership skills
- Understand the importance of creating calm, organized, and engaging classroom environments
- Be confident leading small-group learning experiences independently
- Bring creativity, initiative, and adaptability into their teaching practice
- Value inquiry-based learning, emotional development, and meaningful child interactions
- Be an excellent communicator with children, families, and fellow educators

- Understand and align with the high standards and educational philosophy of KEY Education
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enriched 2-hour educational classes for small groups of children
- Create meaningful and engaging learning experiences using KEY curriculum and educational approaches
- Support children socially, emotionally, and academically through thoughtful interactions and guidance
- Observe and assess student progress on an ongoing basis
- Maintain positive and professional communication with families and team members
- Collaborate with the educational team to strengthen curriculum, classroom experiences, and program development
Qualifications
- Valid BC ECE Certification, ECEA, BC Teaching Certificate, or Bachelor of Education
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience working in educational environments with young children
- Strong understanding of child development and classroom dynamics
- Montessori, Reggio Emilia, inquiry-based, or play-based educational experience is considered an asset
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
