As our innovative business continues to rapidly grow, we are seeking for a full-time Production Worker for the Seafood Processing Division at our Richmond location. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Worker is responsible for processing fish. If you can work in a cool, wet, fast-paced environment and under pressure with minimal supervision, we would love to hear from you!
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Wage: $20.75/hour (paid on weekly basis!)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pin boning fish.
- Lifting fish and packaging into bags/boxes.
- Operating various production machines (ie. skinning machine, portioning machine).
- Label boxes.
- Making ice bags and boxes.
- Push rolling buggies loaded with baskets of fish.
- Feed fish into the machines.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Reliable means of transportation
- Comfortable working in a cold and wet environment
- Experience operating a forklift is an asset
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods
- Ability to learn and be trained in new skills and concepts required for the job
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures is an asset
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills to connect with the team
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
