PowerApps / Power BI Developer
Tomlinson is seeking a skilled PowerApps / Power BI Developer to design, develop, and support business applications, automation, and reporting solutions across Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform.
This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Barrhaven head office.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain Power Apps solutions to support business processes.
- Build and support Power Automate flows for approvals, notifications, task tracking, and process automation.
- Create and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and DAX measures.
- Design clean, reliable Power BI data models with proper relationships, measures, and business-friendly reporting structures.
- Use Power Query to transform, clean, combine, and prepare data from multiple sources.
- Optimize Power BI reports and semantic models for performance, usability, refresh reliability, and maintainability.
- Connect solutions to SharePoint, SQL Server, Microsoft 365 services, and other business systems.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into practical technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot app, flow, reporting, data connection, refresh, and performance issues.
- Support modernization of legacy SharePoint forms and workflows where required.
- Provide technical support, documentation, and end-user training.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience developing Microsoft 365 or Power Platform solutions.
- Strong experience with Power Apps, especially canvas apps.
- Strong experience with Power Automate cloud flows.
- Strong experience building Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and data models.
- Strong DAX skills, including measures, calculated columns, time intelligence, filtering logic, and business calculations.
- Experience with Power Query, data transformation, data cleansing, and combining data from multiple sources.
- Understanding of Power BI modelling best practices, including star schema design, relationships, measures, and report performance.
- Experience publishing, maintaining, refreshing, and troubleshooting reports in the Power BI Service.
- Experience working with SharePoint Online lists, libraries, permissions, and metadata.
- Experience connecting Power Platform solutions to SharePoint, SQL Server, Excel, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with business users.
- Customer-service focused, proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
ASSETS
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, dataflows, lakehouses, warehouses, DirectQuery, Import mode, or Direct Lake.

Experience with row-level security, workspace permissions, Power BI deployment, and report governance.

Experience with model-driven apps, Dataverse, PowerShell, T-SQL, C#, JavaScript, or SPFx.

Experience with Power Platform governance, environments, and deployment practices.

Experience with SharePoint governance, administration and best practices.
COMPESATION INFORMATION:
The expected range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
