Are you an enthusiastic, creative, and responsible educator who enjoys working with children?
We are looking for a new Leader to join our amazing team for our 2026/27 Out of School Kids Club (OSC) program. The position runs Monday to Friday from 2:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., following School District 61's school calendar.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and who values creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where every child feels safe, respected, and able to participate. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes initiative, and can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
Our Leaders plan and facilitate engaging activities for children from Kindergarten to Grade 5, including arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, STEM experiences, and other age-appropriate programming. They are also responsible for providing attentive supervision, supporting positive behaviour, building respectful relationships with children and families, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment that reflects our program values.
Because our program operates in shared, multi-use spaces, Leaders are also responsible for setting up the program each afternoon, packing away equipment at the end of the day, and ensuring the space is left clean and organized.
To provide children with consistent care and build strong relationships, candidates must be available to work every school day, Monday through Friday, throughout the school year (September–June).
Additional hours may also be available during Professional Development (PD) Days and March Break. For those interested and available, there may be opportunities to continue with the program under a subsequent contract for the following school year.
