We are a personal injury paralegal office specializing exclusively in Accident Benefits and are seeking an experienced AB law clerk or legal assistant to fulfill a full-time position assisting a senior paralegal on complex and major injury claims.

Education and Experience:
- Graduate of a law clerk or paralegal program or employment equivalance
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Accident Benefits, including strong working knowledge of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) and LAT process
Primary Responsibilities:
- Draft correspondence to and communicate with insurance companies, medical institutions, defense counsel and clients
- Complete and review OCF forms pertaining to Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) requirements
- Manage due dates, limitation periods and time sensitive documents
- Process claims for specified benefits and ensure claimed benefits are received
- Communicating with insurance companies regarding specific case files
- Communicating with clients for information requests as well as providing follow ups
- Making medical requests to various medical facilities
- Schedule meetings and appointments for the Paralegal, as necessary
- Process OCF 6s, OCF 2s and any other documents as required
- Schedule and coordinate Examinations Under Oath, signed statements, and settlement conferences
- Organize, coordinate, and schedule appointments and meetings
- Review files and records to answer requests for information
- Photocopy, scan, fax and file documents
- Communicating with insurance companies regarding specific case files
- Completing any other forms as they pertain to Accident Benefits files
- Other administrative tasks as necessary
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
- Superior organizational skills; proactively manage files, records and documents
- Strong time management skills;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities accordingly
- Ability to work under pressure and anticipate needs, adjust to changing priorities and handle tasks in a timely manner
