Job Responsibilities:
- Issue requests for quotes/proposals and select best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements. Negotiate and manage long term pricing agreements on critical commodities
- Complete purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions
- Handle correspondence concerning over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and report such changes to the interested parties in a timely manner as required.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related problems.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels consistent with targeted inventory goals and as set by management. Provide consistent, visible, timely and effective communication; follow ups of team goals and objectives.
- Maintain accuracy of stock code information, including lead-time, pricing, current supplier information, current purchase order data, etc.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) for all functions.
- Follow all procedures in compliance of AST standard policy and operation regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Required education: Bachelor in Supply Chain, Sales OR Computer related education
- Experienced working in manufacturing industry and production/package supply; Candidates with sales and purchasing experience are preferred.
- Having a sourcing + buyer potential
- Proven negotiation, cost analysis, and vendor management skills
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across teams and departments;
- Required skills: intermediate level of using MS-Excel, strong verbal and written skills in English and Chinese
- Passionate and interested in the computer industry
- Self-motivated
- Good at data analysis
- Willing to work over time
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
