Our new food concept that includes both in house and take out is looking for a Chef to be build and to lead a team. This position has a lot of rom for creative control.
Duties
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and support personnel, ensuring effective team management and communication
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Develop and implement menu items, recipes, and food presentation techniques
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize kitchen efficiency
- Train staff on proper food handling, safety protocols, and service techniques
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to uphold cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health standards
- Lead by example in hospitality excellence, serving guests with professionalism and courtesy
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Knowledge of restaurant management practices including inventory control and cost management
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to serve guests professionally
- Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is required
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to high-quality service standards
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
