Job Summary
We are seeking several motivated and detail-oriented Night Shift CNC Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including CNC lathes and milling machines, during late afternoon/night hours. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge, and blueprint reading will ensure precision and quality in every part produced. Duties
- Operate, and monitor CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
- Perform routine inspections using calipers, hand tools, and other measuring devices to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Adjust machine settings as needed for optimal performance and troubleshoot issues during production runs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by properly handling tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other machinery.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), forklift operation when necessary.
- Assist with assembly tasks or secondary operations as required to meet production deadlines.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes or CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages like G-code or Fanuc controls is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements, feeds, speeds, and tolerances essential for precise machining.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operation is preferred.
