VAC Developments is a Canadian Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company located in Oakville. We are seeking a Tool Crib Attendant to join our Team!
Responsibilities:
- Maintains/grind cutting tools for CNC Department.
- Sets up CNC Machining holders with appropriate equipment.
- Prepare tooling kits for production runs so they are ready per the production schedule.
- Issues tools and equipment and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
- Work with Purchasing to order out of stock tools and parts and ensure safety stock is in place.
- Pre-set tool lengths in preparation for scheduled production runs.
- Regrind and shape end mills and drills as necessary to ensure they are properly sharpened and calibrated for use.
- Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
Qualifications:
- Certificate from college or technical school; or 2+ years related experience
- Previous CNC Mill and/or Lathe experience with an understanding of the various types of machine tools

Experience:
- tool room: 2 years (preferred)
- cnc tools: 2 years (preferred)
- with CNC machines Mill/Lathe: 2 years (preferred)
