Job Overview
We are currently looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic (Level 3–4) to join our growing team in Burnaby. We are seeking a motivated technician with strong diagnostic and repair skills who can work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.
A Canadian Automotive Service Technician Certificate is preferred; however, we are also open to candidates with equivalent international automotive certifications and strong hands-on experience.
The ideal candidate must have solid experience in engine diagnostics, suspension repairs, engine and transmission removal, and timing chain/belt replacement.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
- Diagnose engine performance and drivability issues
- Complete suspension and steering repairs
- Remove and install engines and transmissions
- Perform timing belt and timing chain replacements
- Conduct brake system repairs and maintenance
- Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment effectively
- Perform routine maintenance services
- Test drive vehicles when required to verify repairs
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Communicate repair recommendations clearly with management/service advisors
- Follow safety procedures and shop standards
Requirements
- Level 3–4 mechanic experience or equivalent
- Canadian Automotive Service Technician Certificate preferred
- Open to out-of-country automotive certifications with proven experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with major mechanical repairs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Own tools are considered an asset
