Schedule: Thursday to Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
You will be responsible for moving semi-trailers within the Vegpro yard. You will also be required to follow and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (OHS, Good Agricultural Practices, and food safety standards).
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a yard truck (“shunter”) to move semi-trailers
- Perform trailer movements within the yard
- Frequently perform backing maneuvers
- Plan and sequence movements to optimize available space
- Position trailers for pickup by external carriers in the appropriate locations
- Be solely responsible for yard movements and organization during your shift
- Conduct an accurate daily yard inventory
- Perform daily inspections of the yard truck and report any issues
- Set temperatures on refrigeration units according to operational needs and planned shipments
- Operate the yard truck in an open environment where pedestrians and other vehicles are always present
