Job Summary
West Coast Machinery Inc. is seeking a Junior Parts Advisor / Shipper-Receiver to join our Langley team.
As the go-to resource for the Service Manager and Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for the physical shipping and receiving of all parts and equipment in our Langley, BC facility. You will train as a junior parts person to assist with taking customer calls, determining customer needs, and managing the shipment of parts.
You will be responsible for managing parts inventory, including receiving, inspecting, sorting, and storing parts throughout the warehouse and yard.

Key Responsibilities
Parts, Shipping & Receiving
- Assist the Service Coordinator in keeping shop operations organized and ensuring technicians have what they need to get the job done with minimal downtime
- Support the Service Manager with coordinating repair jobs, data entry for repair orders, and invoicing
- Assist with maintaining inventory minimum/maximum and reorder levels so common parts are available in-house
- Receive orders, package, and ship all parts orders in a timely manner
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and yard
- Unload and organize equipment containers, and trucks
- Assist service technicians when needed
- Assist with quoting, invoicing, and shipping purchased parts to customers
Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar role within an equipment dealership, equipment rental agency, or related industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent attention to detail
- Lead by example and work professionally in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to work efficiently within tight schedules and prioritize tasks effectively
- Professional, hard-working individual who takes pride in their work and role within the team
- Good computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Class 5 or 7 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
Additional Assets
- General technical understanding of hydraulic attachments and excavator equipment
- Previous experience operating a large forklift with a minimum 10,000 lb capacity. Forklift training will be provided
