The Opportunity: As Graphic Design Lead, the incumbent, as part of the marketing and creative services team is responsible for designing and driving the company's brand and overseeing company-wide campaigns to ensure adherence to the college brand, creative standards & and established creative positioning. The incumbent is responsible for all mentoring and overseeing creative and design elements from the department with other design staff. The incumbent is responsible for creating and producing high-end designs, illustrations, layouts, and visual images for all print, broadcast and digital publications. The Graphic Design Lead will be responsible for creating and leading conceptual development for all campaigns based on creative positioning. The incumbent is responsible for working in collaboration with the department’s other graphic designer(s) and videographer(s) in areas of daily workload and vetting all creative to adhere to set standards set out and agreed upon with the Director of Marketing & Creative Services.
What you need to be successful:
- Three-year diploma in Graphic Design, Multimedia, and/or Digital Film
- Minimum of eight years of experience producing high-end design/brand work and creative leadership for online, print, digital and video applications
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Demonstrated ability to provide creative direction, guidance, and constructive feedback while inspiring team members to develop innovative, industry-leading creative solutions
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Proven creative conceptual abilities.
This is a full-time support staff position, 35 hours/week, Payband I - $40.39 - $46.64/hour (starting rate $40.39/hour).
NOTE: I/O, Appendix D and PT staff are considered internal applicants.
