Position: Inside Technical Sales Representative
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Schedule: 40 hours per week
SUMMARY
The Technical Counter Sales Representative is responsible for a wide variety of in-store administrative tasks to support the company's sales and operating objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Store Operations & Customer Service
- Greet customers in-store in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist customers in defining their product needs.
- Assemble hydraulic and pneumatic hoses using the tools, equipment and training provided.
- Prepare, pack, and ship orders and transfers.
• Maintain stock levels and in-store product displays. • Ensure the cleanliness, attractiveness and safety of the store.
- Actively participate in refresher training offered by the company and suppliers.
- Provide complete and accurate information to other support departments, such as Purchasing, Credit and Technical Services.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
2. Warehouse
- Respect the safety instructions regarding access to the warehouse and the use of machinery.
- Receive, process and report any discrepancies in incoming orders (purchase orders, transfers) ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the data.
- Follow up on transfers in transit and report any discrepancies.
• Packing goods so that they arrive intact at the customer or supplier. • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in the inventory management system.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are always available.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of the warehouse, including shelving, labeling and cleaning.
- Participate in periodic inventory audits and cycle counts.

- Ability to lift loads up to 40 lbs. Mental demands
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and experience required
- Technical or mechanical training and/or recognized experience in hydraulics or pneumatics.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills. Immediately
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
