About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Aluminum Boat Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing aluminum boats with precision and attention to detail. From hull construction to finishing touches, you will play a key role in delivering durable, high-quality vessels that meet the demands of both recreational and commercial use.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for marine construction
- Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on aluminum plate and sheet
- Fabricate, assemble, and fit frames, hulls, decks, and specialty components
- Inspect and test welds for strength, safety, and watertight integrity
- Carry out repairs on cracks, corrosion, or impact damage
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG/TIG aluminum welding (marine or structural experience preferred)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Knowledge of marine construction standards and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in welding (CWB or equivalent) considered an asset
