About the Role
Holiday Inn Winnipeg South is looking for an experienced Construction Renovation Site Supervisor to oversee an on-site hotel renovation project. This is a contract position for the duration of the project, ideal for a hands-on supervisor who can manage trades, keep the job on schedule, and ensure work meets quality and safety standards while the hotel remains operational.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day renovation activities on site, coordinating trades, subcontractors, and vendors
- Develop and maintain project schedules, flagging delays and adjusting plans as needed
- Conduct daily site walkthroughs to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to specifications
- Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA/provincial safety regulations
- Coordinate with hotel management and ownership to minimize disruption to guests and operations
- Order and track materials, equipment, and deliveries
- Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and documentation for project stakeholders
- Address on-site issues, resolve conflicts between trades, and troubleshoot problems as they arise
- Ensure work areas are secured, clean, and compliant with local building codes
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in construction supervision, ideally in renovation or hospitality/hotel projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and building codes
- Experience coordinating multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, flooring, painting, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10/30 certification or equivalent an asset
- Experience working in occupied/operating hotel environments a plus
Schedule
- Full-time hours for the duration of the renovation project
- On-site presence required (1330 Pembina Hwy, Winnipeg, MB)
