Position Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Receiving Lead to coordinate our daily shipment and stocking process. This is a vital role that bridges the gap between the delivery truck and the sales floor. You will be the primary touchpoint for our unloading process, ensuring that merchandise is sorted efficiently and that the warehouse remains organized once the trucks are cleared. This is a role for someone who likes to stay active, lead by example, and keep the "back of house" running smoothly.
Core Responsibilities
- Unload Coordination: Lead the team in unloading incoming trailers, ensuring products are handled safely and sorted into the correct departments for stocking.
- Reconciliation: Once the truck is clear, perform the necessary checks to ensure the physical stock matches the shipping documents, identifying any damages or missing items.
- Warehouse Flow: Manage the organization of the warehouse, ensuring overstock is properly put away and that the workspace is clear and safe for the team.
- Hands-on Stocking: Assist with moving merchandise to the sales floor and stocking shelves to ensure the store is ready for our customers.
- Team Support: Act as the "go-to" person in the warehouse, helping associates stay on task and maintaining a high pace during busy delivery windows.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment is preferred.
- Reliability: A strong track record of punctuality and the ability to work the early shifts required for truck deliveries.
- Organization: The ability to keep track of paperwork and maintain a tidy, efficient warehouse space.
- Leadership Style: A "lead from the front" mentality—you aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and work alongside the team.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stay on your feet and perform repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling of merchandise (up to 50 lbs).
- Communication: Clear communication skills to coordinate with drivers and store management.
