Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, greeting them warmly and managing appointment scheduling efficiently using Abeldent dental software.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with confidence, addressing patient inquiries, appointment confirmations, and general questions promptly.
- Maintain accurate electronic dental records and ensure all patient information is up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations.
- Verify insurance details, process claims, and communicate coverage information clearly to patients.
- Manage front desk operations including check-in/check-out procedures, payment processing, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Assist with clinical coordination by preparing patient charts, updating medical histories, and supporting the dental team as needed.
- Firm understanding of dental terminology knowledge to accurately document procedures and communicate effectively within the team.
Experience
- Proven experience as a dental receptionist or administrative assistant within a dental setting.
- Strong proficiency in Abeldent Dental software; familiarity with X-ray systems is a plus.
- Solid understanding of dental terminology and electronic medical records management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Prior experience working in a busy dental office environment with excellent organizational skills.
- Background in handling insurance processing, billing, and appointment scheduling with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Office experience that showcases your ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
