Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive sales growth. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a passion for delivering top-quality automotive repair and maintenance services. The Automotive Service Manager will coordinate between technicians, customers, and the dealership team to maintain high standards of efficiency and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and staff supervision
- Ensure all automotive repairs and services meet quality standards and safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns, explaining repairs, and ensuring satisfaction
- Oversee mechanic activities, including diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures
- Upsell additional services or products to enhance customer value and increase revenue
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation
- Train and mentor service advisors and technicians to improve performance and technical skills
- Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies needed for repairs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies
Experience
- Proven dealership experience in automotive service management or a similar leadership role
- Strong mechanic experience with comprehensive mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Demonstrated ability in sales techniques, including upselling services and products
- Experience in cash handling and financial transactions within a retail or dealership setting
- Prior experience managing a team of technicians or service advisors is preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures, diagnostic tools, and industry best practices

Pay: $76,807.00-$118,010.00 per year
