Overview
Qualified and skilled Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in collision repair, bodywork, and vehicle restoration. The Auto Body Technician is responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through precise repairs and refinishing techniques.
Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and determine the necessary repairs to restore safety and appearance
- Perform bodywork repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and alignment adjustments
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to execute repairs efficiently
- Sand, paint, and refinish vehicle surfaces to match original factory specifications
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair jobs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols during all repair processes
- Document repair procedures and communicate effectively with service advisors and customers
Qualifications
- I-Car and Red Seal beneficial
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and collision repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other automotive repair equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with automotive refinishing, sanding, and painting processes is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license preferred but not required
