Position Overview
Icon Building is seeking an experienced Carpenter with a strong focus on structural rough-in and framing. We are looking for a hardworking individual who excels in the fundamental stages of residential construction, from additions and renovations to new structural builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality rough carpentry and structural framing.
- Interpret blueprints, layouts, and framing plans accurately.
- Frame walls, floors, roofs, and specialized structural components.
- Manage site preparation and layout for new additions and structural modifications.
- Execute precise measuring, cutting, and assembly of wood and engineered lumber.
- Ensure all structural work is plumb, level, square, and compliant with local building codes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with the team to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential rough carpentry and framing.
- Strong understanding of load-bearing structures and framing techniques.
- Proficiency with framing nailers, circular saws, and other essential power tools.
- Ability to read and execute technical construction drawings.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Valid G Driver’s License and reliable transportation to various job sites.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
