What You'll Be Doing
As part of our field installation crew, you will assist with the construction of exterior building envelope systems and architectural cladding assemblies. Daily responsibilities may include:
- Reading and interpreting site layouts, project drawings, and installation instructions
- Taking measurements and marking installation locations
- Installing weather-resistant air and vapour barrier materials
- Assisting with the fabrication and installation of support systems, including girts and mounting components
- Installing a variety of exterior finishes and façade products, such as:
- Architectural metal wall panels
- Fibre cement siding and panel systems
- Insulated panel assemblies
- Profiled steel and corrugated cladding
- Composite and engineered exterior products
- Coordinating with project supervisors and fellow tradespeople to maintain production schedules
- Receiving and staging materials for daily work activities
- Maintaining organized work areas and ensuring tools and equipment are properly managed
- Following all company safety standards and site-specific requirements
What We're Looking For
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in a construction environment
- Comfortable lifting materials and equipment up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work at heights when required
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Effective communication skills in English
- Commitment to workplace safety and participation in safety meetings and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial construction, exterior cladding, building-envelope work, siding, roofing, or related trades is considered an asset
- Valid driver's licence is beneficial but not mandatory
- Experience using hand and power tools is an advantage
