Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. Your proactive approach will help ensure smooth distribution processes and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently
- Assist with order picking, packing, and packaging to prepare items for shipment
- Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments using warehouse management systems like AS400
- Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records
- Support warehouse distribution tasks by loading and unloading trucks and organizing storage areas
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance when needed
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, equipment operation, and general warehouse activities
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience is highly preferred, especially in a fast-paced distribution environment
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks,and order pickers
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Experience in shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment, packaging, and load/unload processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding role
