About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Flooring Sales Specialist to drive the growth and success of our flooring showroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating sales, developing client relationships, providing expert flooring recommendations, conducting site measurements, reviewing drawings and blueprints, and coordinating projects from initial consultation through completion.
This role requires a strong sales mindset, technical flooring knowledge, and the ability to build lasting relationships with homeowners, property managers, restoration clients, contractors, and builders.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Consult with customers to recommend personalized flooring solutions based on their needs, budget, and project requirements.
- Guide customers through the entire sales process, from consultation and product selection to installation and project completion.
- Conduct follow-up communications to maintain customer satisfaction and generate repeat business and referrals.
- Deliver an exceptional showroom experience to all clients.
Sales Leadership & Product Expertise:
- Generate new sales opportunities and actively contribute to the growth of the flooring division.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and KPI’s.
- Prepare quotations, estimates, and material take-offs.
- Conduct site visits and take accurate field measurements when required.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, floor plans, and blueprints.
- Advise clients on flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, carpet, and specialty products.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize project value.
- Stay current on industry trends, new products, installation methods, and flooring innovations.
Collaboration & Project Coordination:
- Serve as a liaison between customers, project managers, restoration teams, installers, and suppliers.
- Work with the project coordinator team on schedules to ensure timely material delivery and installation.
- Assist with custom flooring solutions and complex restoration projects.
- Work closely with the restoration division to identify and develop flooring sales opportunities.
Order Management & Logistics:
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate material purchasing, inventory management, and deliveries.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, orders, customer communications, and project documentation.
- Ensure product pricing and showroom displays remain current and competitive.
Quality Assurance & Problem Resolution:
- Handle customer concerns, product issues, and warranty inquiries professionally.
- Conduct project follow-ups and final walkthroughs as required.
- Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction and workmanship throughout each project.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with project managers installers, suppliers, and office staff to ensure successful project execution.
- Contribute to a positive team environment focused on growth, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous flooring sales experience preferred (3+ years).
- Experience taking field measurements and preparing flooring estimates.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, floor plans, and blueprints.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Location:
Our head office is located in Port Coquitlam, and we are currently hiring for two positions at our Gibsons and Abbotsford branches.
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
