Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laser Operator/Machine Operator to join our clients manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining various precision machinery to produce high-quality metal components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with CNC laser cutting and other machining processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic production environment focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines, plasma cutters, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other related equipment to produce precise parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, hand tools, and measurement devices to verify dimensions and adherence to standards
- Assemble finished components as required, ensuring proper fit and finish
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machine issues and improve production efficiency
- Valid forklift experience would be an asset
Skills
- Experience with welding, assembly, and mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings
- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, and basic math skills for precise measurements
- Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and adherence to safety protocols
- Experience operating cranes and forklifts is a plus for material handling
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and assembly techniques

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
