What You'll Do:
- Develop and grow your own pipeline of prospective commercial energy customers;
- Build relationships with business owners, executives, and key decision-makers using the sales and prospecting methods that work best for you;
- Generate your own opportunities or take advantage of MPN resources and leads;
- Manage your own schedule, sales activity, and approach based on your individual business goals;
- Work independently or collaborate with others to close deals;
- Build your knowledge of the energy industry and MPN's products through available training, workshops, and support resources;
- Set your goals and determine the effort you want to invest in developing your business, with uncapped commission potential tied to the business you generate;
- Build long-term customer relationships and benefit from the ongoing value of the business you develop;
- Leverage CRM tools and sales resources to effectively manage your pipeline and customer relationships;
- Represent MPN Capital Markets with professionalism and integrity while delivering an exceptional client experience.
What We're Looking For:
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills;
- Confidence speaking with business owners and decision-makers over the phone;
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong work ethic;
- Highly motivated, competitive, and driven by performance;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet;
- Organized, disciplined, and able to manage your own schedule effectively;
- Coachable, adaptable, and eager to continuously improve;
- Resilient and comfortable handling objections and rejection;
- Previous sales, customer service, or business development experience is an asset, but not required—we provide comprehensive training for the right individual.
