MGL Protection Services is currently seeking qualified security guards for a construction job site located in the Napanee, Ontario area. Job Description:
- Oversee and manage access control to the construction site to ensure that only authorized personnel are allowed entry. This includes checking identification and monitoring entry points.
- Assist workers with sign-in and sign-out procedures at the front desk located at the main entrance, ensuring that all personnel are accounted for and that logs are accurately maintained to enhance security.
- Conduct regular patrols of the site, focusing on the exterior areas to identify potential security risks or unauthorized individuals and ensure that safety protocols are being followed.
- Ensure visibility to clients and visitors by providing a welcoming and professional presence, readily available to answer questions or direct them to the appropriate personnel or areas.
- Perform fire watch duties as needed, which entails monitoring for potential fire hazards and ensuring that safety equipment is accessible and in good working condition, as per request.
- Provide security escort services for vendors and visitors to ensure their safety while on the premises. Guide them to their destinations and ensure they do not access unauthorized areas.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective teamwork by collaborating with site managers and workers to address security concerns promptly and promote a culture of safety and respect.
- Always maintain a sharp and professional uniform appearance, reflecting the organization's standards and promoting a sense of order and discipline on the job site.
Position Requirements: (Please apply only if all requirements are satisfied)
- Possession of a valid security license.
- WHMIS certification (certification can be provided).
- 4-Step Safety Awareness certification(certification can be provided).
- Steel Toe Safety Shoes are mandatory.
- Hard hats and high-visibility vests (Reimbursed by MGL)
- Previous experience in the security industry (a minimum of one year preferred).
Schedule:
- 0600 hours (6 AM) to 1800 hours (6 PM), Monday to Saturday.
- On-call fire watch responsibilities.
- Weekend and overnight duties may be assigned at the client's request.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
