Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring property, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is highly valued.
Duties
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols throughout the resort, including cottages, RV sites, pools, recreation areas, parking lots, and common facilities.
- Monitor resort entrances and exits to ensure only authorized guests, residents, and visitors access the property.
- Enforce client policies, regulations, and quiet-hour requirements.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, complaints, and emergencies.
- Provide assistance to guests, residents, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Observe and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, vandalism, theft, or trespassing.
- Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and occurrence reports accurately and promptly.
- Monitor CCTV systems and security equipment, where applicable.
- Assist with traffic control and parking enforcement during peak periods, special events, and holidays.
- Perform wellness and safety checks around pools, playgrounds, recreation facilities, and waterfront areas.
- Coordinate with emergency services, police, fire, and medical personnel when required.
- Ensure gates, buildings, and facilities are properly secured during overnight shifts.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify safety concerns and report maintenance issues.
- Respond to alarm activations and investigate security breaches.
- Promote a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, seasonal residents, and visitors.
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of surveillance systems and CCTV operation is highly desirable
- Experience in loss prevention strategies is a plus
- Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
