This position works directly with the Project Management team and supports the team in the preparation of fabrications drawings.

Position Description and Responsibilities
- Work with project data lists and P&ID drawings to develop/design 3D models in Solidworks.
- Create shop fabrication drawings in SolidWorks through IFA, redlines, IFC and AS-BUILT stages, maintaining drawing revision control.
- Review design options and recommend best solution based on materials, labour and/or quality.
- Work with Drafting/Design and Project Management teams.
- Continual improvement in standards and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Solidworks or comparable 3D modelling environment with proven ability to create drawing including making and mating parts.
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s
- Working knowledge of the following codes; ASME B31.3 Process Piping, ASME Section 8 Division 1, CWB Structural Codes
- Diploma in Engineering Design & Drafting technology from a recognized Technical Institute/College or equivalent experience.
- Experience with PVElite, Fastcam, HGG ProCam, Smap 3D an asset.
- Mechanical Engineering for Skid Deflection, vessel, nozzle loading calcs etc. an asset.
- Good working knowledge of instrumentation: control valves, metering, transmitters, etc.
- Dedicated team player with excellent verbal and listening communications skills.
- Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at once in a high paced environment.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, able to accommodate shifting priorities in a professional manner.
- Previous experience within a fabrication environment: Separators, Treaters, Lineheaters etc.
