ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a luxury cabinetry and interior design studio specializing in bespoke kitchens, custom millwork, wardrobes, and thoughtfully designed living spaces. As they continue to grow and establish a new flagship showroom in Vancouver, they are looking for an accomplished Senior Interior Designer to play a key role in shaping exceptional client experiences and helping build one of Vancouver's premier luxury design brands.
This is an opportunity for an experienced designer who combines exceptional design talent with a passion for luxury interiors, client relationships, and creative collaboration. You'll lead sophisticated residential projects while mentoring junior designers, working alongside architects and builders, and contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the studio.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design Leadership
- Lead the design and execution of luxury kitchens, custom cabinetry, wardrobes, and bespoke residential interiors.
- Develop innovative design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, and craftsmanship.
- Mentor and support junior designers, helping maintain a collaborative, design-focused studio culture.
- Review drawings, presentations, and technical documentation to ensure the highest design standards.
Client Experience
- Build trusted relationships with homeowners, architects, interior designers, and custom builders.
- Lead client consultations, present design concepts, and guide material and finish selections.
- Deliver an exceptional client experience from initial concept through project completion.
Studio & Brand Growth
- Contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the studio within Vancouver's luxury residential market.
- Assist in curating the flagship showroom to showcase exceptional design, premium materials, and innovative cabinetry solutions.
- Represent the company professionally within the architecture and design community through industry events, showroom functions, and networking opportunities.
- Stay informed on emerging design trends, materials, and technologies that enhance the client experience and strengthen the studio's market position.
Project Delivery
- Prepare and review detailed design packages, cabinetry drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate with production, suppliers, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage multiple high-end projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 8+ years of professional interior design experience, with a strong focus on luxury residential projects.
- A portfolio demonstrating exceptional kitchens, custom cabinetry, millwork, and interior design.
- Experience working with architects, builders, and discerning residential clients.
- Strong understanding of cabinetry design, space planning, detailing, and premium materials.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and industry-standard design software.
- Experience with European cabinetry systems or luxury millwork is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor and inspire others.
