Missions/Main Duties:
The CDE Lead is responsible for the implementation, administration, optimization, and day-to-day operation of the Common Data Environment (CDE) and related digital collaboration platforms. The role ensures that project information flows efficiently through configured systems, workflows, permissions, and integrations that support coordinated delivery.
This position focuses on platform configuration, workflow enablement, integrations, user support, access control, and operational performance of the CDE ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the setup, configuration, and administration of the Common Data Environment
-
Ensure the CDE supports project delivery workflows, review cycles, approvals, and information exchange requirements

Configure folder structures, workflows, permissions, roles, and access controls within the platform
-
Coordinate integration and interoperability between the CDE and connected systems such as BIM, GIS, EDMS, PMIS, and other digital tools
-
Implement and optimize digital workflows to improve efficiency, traceability, and collaboration
-
Support automation opportunities across review, approval, notification, and information exchange processes
-
Monitor platform performance, usability, and adoption, and recommend improvements
-
Provide technical support, onboarding, and user guidance for project teams and external stakeholders
-
Develop training materials, user procedures, and practical guidance for consistent use of the CDE
-
Apply security and access protocols in line with project and organizational requirements
-
Support audits, compliance checks, and issue resolution related to CDE operations
-
Coordinate with digital, IT, vendor, and project teams to resolve platform issues and enhance system capability
Profile/Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, Digital Delivery, or a related discipline. Additional technical training in CDE platforms, BIM tools, or digital project systems is an asset.
Years of experience: 8-10+ years of relevant experience in CDE administration, digital delivery systems, BIM collaboration platforms, or project information environments in complex projects.
Technical competencies:
