Overview
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatch Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will manage daily trucking schedules, coordinate grain movements, and ensure smooth, cost-effective delivery from farm to facility or end user.

Prairie Ag Commodity Trading (PACT) sources agricultural commodities in Western Canada and the Northern US with a focus on Feed-Grade Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and By-products. PACT takes pride in providing timely and reliable product movement for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and dispatch trucks for inbound and outbound grain shipments across Saskatchewan and Western Canada.
- Coordinate movements between producers, commercial buyers, and haulers to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries.
- Communicate daily with truck drivers, elevator operators, and customers to confirm load details and resolve issues.
- Track shipments, maintain accurate load records, and update dispatch systems - specifically NewBOS.
- Balance loads across available haulers to optimize efficiency, costs and minimize downtime.
- Verify bills of lading, scale tickets, and delivery documents for accuracy.
- Monitor weather, road bans, and elevator receiving hours to anticipate and adjust schedules.
- Assist with freight rate negotiation and cost tracking.
- Support the grain buying team with logistics information, pricing, and delivery updates.
- Maintain compliance with provincial and federal transportation regulations and company safety policies.
- Work closely with another Dispatch Logistics Coordinator.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years experience in logistics and scheduling is required.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grain industry logistics, including farm pick-ups, elevators and end-use facilities. Any rail logistics experience would be beneficial to the role as well.
- Proficient keyboarding skills are required, ideally 50+wpm
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. MUST be detailed orientated.
- Clear and professional communication with drivers, producers, and customers with the ability to create and maintain relationships to ensure a positive experience for all.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams and dispatch or ERP systems. Experience with NewBOS is an asset.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to ever changing conditions is essential.
- Knowledge of Saskatchewan and Western Canadian road networks and hauling regulations is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 1A considered an asset).
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
