Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Barrhaven, Ottawa | Full-Time
$43+/hour to start, commission-eligible as your caseload grows | 37.5 hr week
Most OTs end up choosing between interesting cases and a sane caseload, or a good team and being stuck doing the same three things all day. At Play On, you don't have to pick.
We're a multidisciplinary pediatric clinic in Barrhaven where OT, PT, SLP, psychotherapy, and naturopathy work under one roof, and it's not just a brochure line. You'll be in the building alongside PT and SLP on shared clients, not coordinating by fax. You'll work out of a real pediatric gym built for play-based, child-centric therapy, not a treatment room with a mat in the corner.
We're looking for an experienced pediatric OT ready to take on a full caseload with real clinical support behind them. Strong new grads with genuine experience with kids are welcome to apply too, but this role is built with an experienced clinician in mind.
What the Work Actually Looks Like
- A full pediatric caseload, 0–18, matched to your experience and training, not assigned blind
- Nobody hands you a complex case you're not ready for. If you're not ready to treat CP yet, we won't put you there before you are
- In-clinic collaboration with PT and SLP on shared kids, in real time
- Weekly mentoring, training, and team meetings, built into your schedule
- Monthly one-on-one learning sessions with our senior OT, mentoring and clinical training, not a compliance check
- Option to delegate to OTAs as your caseload grows
- A fully equipped pediatric gym and a team that actually likes coming to work
Schedule
- 37.5 hours/week, full-time
- Evenings and weekend shifts - steady pre-set schedule, so you know your schedule in advance
Pay
- Starting at $43/hour
- Commission-eligible once your caseload is established (typically around 6 months for new grads, 6–8 weeks for experienced clinicians) Full-time clinicians at a full caseload typically earn $78,000–$90,000+/year
What We're Looking For

- Valid driver's license and vehicle for in-home visits
- Vulnerable Sector Check upon hire
