Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Senior Welder (Structural Steel) to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in welding and fabrication of structural steel components, with a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and various welding techniques. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction and manufacturing projects, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on structural steel components according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate fabrication
- Operate and set up press brake machines, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and measuring devices to ensure precise cuts and welds
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy steel parts using cranes or forklifts
- Perform machining tasks as needed for component fitting and finishing
- Execute steel assembly, including ductwork, framing, or structural supports in accordance with project specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues related to welding or fabrication machinery
- Comply with all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
- Certification as a Senior Welder with proven experience in structural steel welding (MIG & TIG)
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining, press brake machines, plasma cutting, and other fabrication tools
- Experience with rigging, crane operation, and lifting heavy steel components safely
- Ability to operate forklifts and understand basic construction or manufacturing processes
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, and measuring devices such as schematics and blueprints
- Knowledge of safety standards related to welding, fabrication, and construction environments
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
- Prior experience in manufacturing or construction involving ductwork or large-scale steel assemblies is preferred

Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
