As a Casual Security Guard, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, preventing loss, and ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and property through vigilant surveillance and proactive security measures. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
- Monitor CCTV systems continuously to identify suspicious activity or security breaches
- Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Perform loss prevention checks by observing for theft or suspicious behavior
- Maintain accurate logs of security activities, incidents, and access records
- Assist in enforcing safety protocols and company policies throughout the facility
Experience
- Previous experience in law enforcement, security services, or related fields is highly desirable
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) operation and monitoring techniques
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and best practices for deterring theft
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats quickly
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and visitors
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining professionalism and composure
