Qualifications for the role of DSW are as follows :
- Double vaccination of Canadian approved vaccines with certificate
- Professional references including experience working with an individual with ASD
- Vulnerable Sector Screening within 3 months.
- Medical and immunization clearance
- First Aid/CPR certificate
- As a condition the following items are required prior to booking an orientation date. Criminal Reference Check /Vulnerable Sector Screening Waiver (Within 3 months) Respecting Confidentiality Driver's Abstract (clear as per Choices policy) Drivers' license (G class) and Insurance First Aid Certificate Safe Management Certificate Copy of Diploma 3 References (forwarded reference checks with dates completed) Acceptable Computer, Email and Internet Use Policy and Agreement (ADM-IFT-101) Vaccination Forms x2 (QR Code)
Non-violent crisis intervention training and annual refresher (accredited)
- Abuse prevention training consistent with Quality Assurance Measure Regulation (299/10) and
annual refresher
- Medication administration training
- Occupational Health and Safety featuring WHMIS and Fire Safety and annual refresher
